I sell myself as a bird

Image

I sell myself as a winged, yellow, fragile animal

One you can hold in your hand.

I sell myself because I got too needy and can’t afford me.

A bird is what the pieces he tore arranged themselves to be.

That’s all.

Of course i could grow, or shrink or become a sassy snake.

Is a very risky deal.

But, who knows, maybe you’ll end up winning.

Maybe we’ll both end up old, fat bears giving the finger to noisy kids at the zoo.

Skip the pet stores

Find me on a Wilde.

Find me racing an airplane.

In your favorite sport, or a nice steamy coffee.

Find me drowning in your wine.

I could be pretty much anywhere.

Sorry I don’t have more tips.

When i decide to get lost even i don’t see which way i go.

I sell myself and all you have to do is find me

I sing pretty lame

But making love to me is music

I have no feathers

But I’ll tickle you with the tip of my nose.

I sell myself as a bird

Because as a human i’m pretty much failing.

I sell myself as a bird

Only I have no advertisings

And I’ll pass you by just once

Recognize me from the rest and I’m free…

  1. A wonderfully penned piece! I also adore the color yellow! It is the color of the mind and the intellect and so uplifting and illuminating. It gives hope, happiness, and glee 🙂 Thank you for writing this piece! And thank you for visiting my wordpress page too! ~ Phillip 🙂

      1. Fine thank you – I have been more writing silly verse and satire of late. Shall have a go at my inadequate poetry again soon – the problem is you keep raising the bar in this genre! Look forward to your next post.

  2. Hi lula, nice to need you, and to read your heartfelt, honest writing about yourself and your life.
Thanks for visiting our blog, and for following. I hope you enjoy the stories of our journey, both inner and outer. Blessings, Alison
